The METIS lab is offering training on aquatic modeling tools (carbon and nutrients): the pyNuts-Riverstrahler model (including the RIVE biogeochemical model).
This three-day training course (December 3-4-5, 2025) is open to all and will take place in Paris at Sorbonne University's Pierre and Marie Curie campus. It will alternate between theoretical presentations, code discovery, and practical applications of the models.
There are no prerequisites for this training course, but a minimum knowledge of aquatic biogeochemistry, modeling, and programming (ideally Python and SQL) will be a significant advantage during these three days.
This training is free and open to everyone. The three lunches are provided. Transportation and accommodation are the responsibility of the participants, but financial support may be available upon request for young researchers (doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, etc.).
This training program is supported by OSU Ecceterra, the FIRE Animation Federation and the IPSL.
